Can someone tell me is it possible to get an FAA CPL without an IR. All the adverts for training I have seen show CPL and IR. If this is possible how useful is it and where can you train for it.

Thanks

Yes, of course you cn train for a FAA CPL without IR. In Europe however, a stand alone FAA CPL without IR is about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike

If I met the hours requirements for the FAA CPL what is the minimum realistic timescales required to complete the training and test.

I do not need an IR

Thanks

about 10 days should do it. That is to say if you have done all the required skills 8's , chandelles etc before if not add a few more days

I believe that if you dont hold an IR you are restricted to 25 miles from the airport when operating commercially.
