According to new regulations, FAA-EASA,
hot marking of wires is being restricted.
Now we have to invest in equipment, to test the wires after marking.
But what about laser-marker?
The only desktop-model for "low production",
looks to be the CAPRIS 50-100.
Have any of you guys experience with that machine?
And an idea, how much it costs?:)

Can't find the reference now but hot stamped wires have had to be insulation checked for several years now under the UK CAA

You are right Mono.
The RAF banned hot stamping already in the 1990 years.
They bought 41 lasermachines, first generation.
Jesus, these guys must have a lot of money.
The CAA followed ten years later (caused by an accident).
They still allow hot marking, but with restrictions.
Megging of the new wiring,
and still you should be able to read the figures without
a magnifier.
The last, is nearly impossible.
So 10 years from now it`s only laser.
This Australian AD-note is maybe the same
they are using in the UK:) :
