Pilot Training College Ireland (ptc)

Anybody have any thoughts on the cadet programe, ptc in ireland, 0 to atpl?

Have had their brocoure, and they want in the region of £78,000 sterling!!

Any views on the subject would be helpful.

Yeah I am hoping to go in October for the Flybe cadet program. I was there for their assesments and sim ride last month. They seem a good bunch, and very proffesional. Can't wait to hopefully get started and get on the ladder of my Aviation career. :ok:

Bear in mind at least one thread has been deleted, it was heavily critical of PTC and based on some personal experiences of some recently past students. Also most studends will advise you allow at least €100,000 for training and it's not unusual to need more. Before you hand out any money research everything and compare training costs with other schools.

That Sounds Good News, So How Did You Get Into The Flybe Programe Then, Did You Just Apply Direct To Flybe Or Just Through Ptc?

WWW yeah I am going through the flybe program. To be honest I read all the threads about PTC and spoke to people who had been. When I went, I did raise my concerns with two instructors and managed to meet with a local lad who was on the his IR faze of the course. His reply was the same as the instructors. When you have a large organisation such as PTC you aren't going to please every one.
What the student told me was that from his experience he has had very few problems, and recieved a very proffesional service from excellent instructors. So thats good enough for me. The school must have been checked out by Flybe for them to join and recommend them for the cadet program. Thanks once again plus it means I have a FO job at the end of it flying a Dash8, what more could you want? :ok:

True Kt, But Some Times You Have To Look Forward And Go For It If The Oputunity Arises.

If Flybe is your target market then there are at least 5 or 6 schools that are now "affiliated" and will pass on your CV should you jump through the required hoops. Many of the other schools are considerably cheaper. Flying in Ireland is prohibitively expensive, hence why you hear about costs of circa €100k which is more than you would pay going down the integrated route and have access to a larger pool of potential employers than solely Flybe.

Interestingly enough, I have an email address which I never use to register for anything online. Hence, I get no junk and have had none for over 2 years.

Upon emailing the Pilot Training College, I have been flooded by spam, for viagra, porn, bank scams all sorts. (Has my girlfriend told them something :ok:) So I'm guessing that they've got some kind of problem with their computers. :suspect:
