Exceptionally good news, and one in the eye for all of the Jeremiahs who filled these threads last year with dire predictions of failure!

And how positively right, that it should be Waddington as the first public airshow venue - this being the station at which the Vulcan made its debut into RAF service with 230 OCU.

In all fairness the 'jeremiahs' were richly encouraged in their pessimism of this wonderous, yet complicated aircraft ever getting into the air, let alone passing CAA muster by the self defeating PR efforts by TVOC. That they were (and are) generously supported by lottery funds and personal donations of you and me it has been monumentally frustrating these last 2 years.

I can't profess to know how intricate the renovation and preparation has been, but to 'keep people onside' IT"S NOT COMPLICATED and in this regard they TVOC were sadly lacking.

I was, by chance, standing underneath the bomb bay of the example at RAF Hendon a few weeks ago and lamenting on just what a wonderful (and menacing) beast it was. I wish this venture all the best and look forward to seeing her at some airshow in the next while.

Well done TVOC. Unfortunately I fell for their lack of self belief and decided not to go to Waddington after all, thinking it wouldn't be displaying. Ho hum.

Seems they jumped the gun infront of the live camera at TVOC, still a few formalities to complete in the morning b4 its 100 % despite the "live" call to the CAA at lunch and they have now changed the news bulletin on the later BBC EMT news to say that it will only be static after arriving Thursday afternoon dept probably Monday. so its back off to RIAT to see it display for real!
And why is the TVOC website so out of date all the time
Monumentous announcement live form there at lunch and nothing on the site except see BBC tv?
Oh well
