I'm a BT Anytime customer. When I originally joined, the 'phone number which was used was 0800....... However, it mysteriously changed to 0808...... yesterday. Annoyingly I cannot connect using the original 0800 number, and so am using the 0808 one. But I'm unsure if this number is free. Has anyone else witnessed such a change? Are 0808 for Anytime users free?

Number changed on the 1st of April. I got several e-mails from BT about it. The new number was not shown or listed until after that date, the manual edit solution from BT showed the wrong number!. New number 0808 9933001 .

I am told by BT that if the patch to the new number is installed and it is unable to connect then it will revert to the old number but with a new dial code of 0808.

I am still getting through on the 0800 number.
Has anyone else had a problem accessing Pprune Airline sites ie Airtours when connected to BT Anytime? Works fine with Virgin but not BT. Same problem accessing Genie and Tesco! Any ideas?

The 0808 number is still a 'freecall' number. I too had problems when first moved off the 0800 no. Works ok now though, but seems slower to login!?

Have to admit I haven't had amy problems! Downloaded the new dialler software a few weeks ago from the BT internet page which pops up upon connection, did a restart and all has been well since!
