Well I say it is Windows ME but it may be the puter itself.

I get a fairly regular crash or mini crash using ME on my relatively new MESH computer. With the mini crash I get the following on a blue background

"An exception has occurred at 0028:C19B4A9 in VXD PPPMAC(01) F000014A9

This was called from 0028:C1C38A56 in VXD PPPMAC(04)F000048E6

It may be possible to continue normally"

Any ideas for this puter stoopid individual?

ME is as stable as a one-legged man in an arse kicking contest.

Does it only happen if you are online? If so, try uninstalling and reinstalling dial-up networking.. .PPPMAC.VXD is a device driver used for the Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP), commonly used by dial-up accounts.

FWIW, I've just done a search for <a href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=PPPMAC%2801%29+&btnG=Google+Search" target="_blank">PPPMAC(01)</a> on google and it comes up with a lot of hits. Might be worth looking at some of those.

Suggest you get rid of the Bill Gates Crashware and go to Linux. I Have. It is great.. .(edited for spelling)
