Does anybody know how to save saved favourite websites prior to reformating a hard drive?

Any help much appreciated.

Try clicking on File, then Import and Export..., then you should be able to save to another file or floppy disk, CD, Zip Disk.

Or copy the Favorites folder C:\Windows\Favorites

or WinXP it is listed as C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Favorites

Having just been through a similar exercise, I can sympathise

If you can, back up your C drive. After you've reinstalled, you may be able to restore not only your IE Favourites, but many other settings and preferences. I have had some success with that - I got back some Themes without having to download them again, all my IE favourites, links, QuickSearch and a heap of other stuff.

Cheers

I have just done a reformat ,I have used this programme a few times now and would highly recommend it. It saves all your favorites,e-mails etc . I actually back up to CD-R/RW, but if you use it to back up onto an internal drive or network drive you can schedule it to do regular back ups. Check out the link below. It's not too expensive either , I used the demo version for a few weeks and the bought the full version it was so good. http://www.ajsystems.com/oexhome.html
