What is this (new) thingy called Fppdis1a which pops up now and then on the ctrl-alt-del-list of running programmes ?. . . . [ 19 March 2002, 19:38: Message edited by: dusk2dawn ]

As always, "Google he say ...". .. .Ah, well not quite, this time. Everything that Google found for me on this one wasn't in a language I could read! - but do go and have a look if you read Danish or Italian. (That's Google's newsgroup search, it finds nothing on the web search.)

Danish or Italian, Google did nothing for me this time.

Mentioned on this page: http://www.fineprint.com/suppor t/pdffactory/update_history.html. .. .If you're not using this product then I have no idea what it is. Actually I have no idea what it is anyway.. . . . [ 19 March 2002, 22:08: Message edited by: PaperTiger ]

Looks to me like it generates Adobe Acrobat (PDF) files.

It is a file which is used in PDF-Factory (one more and cheap version to make PDFs). The program had a known problem in the 32-bit version which made W2000 and XP users see the file FPPDIS1A crash every so often a PDF file was created.. .. .On the previously mentioned page there is the announcement that with the version 1.36 all is expected to be cured....

Aha, yes that computes. Works like an extra printer with a handfull of options and is loaded every time I use the printer. No crashes so far. Tks !
