Can anyone help? When I load Office 2000 on to XP, the install programme terminates and an "internal fault 2755" is logged.

CC. HELP!. .My WinNT folder was read only, deselected clicked apply but it will not apply the change.. .. .Tried serching for Installer folder and found an Installer folder @ C:\Program Files\InterVideo. only. .. .What am I looking for as I can't find permissions to change? I thought XP was going to be easier than Win 98, but it seems to be set up to make it harder to tinker? If Microsoft are aware of this problem why is it not possible to download some sort of patch.. .. .All help greatfully accepted.

You cannot just de-select something. Un-tick the Read Only and !!!! tick the Archieve box.. .That should do it.
