My wife and I were at Cowes on 24 June around midday. A Spitfire, accompanied by something smaller, yellow, but as fast, was bombing around, probably being filmed from a helicopter hovering above.
Anyone any info on the "event" please?

I believe that it was Paul Bonhomme being filmed according to a colleague who was unable to get out of Sandown until they had finished.

It has just been on BBC South news. I missed most of it but seems to have been a race around the Island between a spitfire and a MR 2 ? (thought that was a car ?) Anyway the spitfire won by 2 mins.
