Friend of mine sent me a "jpg" file with the phrase "you can easily resize this to A4".

He lied.

I have the jpg - I even have the skills to get to it on the hard drive.

Now I come to a halt...how the h##l do I make it fit the paper?

Do you have a photo package like Paint Shop pro/Adobe/Kodak etc. If not, they have limited versions on all the free cover cd's. Then you just open it with one of those programmes, go to options and RESIZE (check in help if your prog is different)to the canvass size you require.

Failing that, most printer software gives you the option of stretching to fit paper under Printer - Options.

You can import it into an application like Word, then stretch it by the 'handles' to any size you want. Caveat - the larger, the less definition.

Hope it helps.

I'll go and try them....why don't they publish manuals any more for software?

You buy a giant glossy box - full of cardboard and air...then search for a CDRom that is full of data that you don't know how to use.

Grrrrrrrrrrr.

Thanks for the advice....the jpg is actually a graphic letter head...so it has to go to A4 width.....and the "telephone numbers" have been done as a block at the bottom of the page...this means the jpg has to become full A4.
