ERJ 145 Drivers for India Operation !!

Anyone heard of X Jet in India. Apparently a VIP Charter Operation.
Operations are starting in October with two ERJ 145s from Republic.
Got a call from their HR. Package looks good.

With India kicking out expats and eliminating duty time limitations and generally running a circus rather than an avaition industry, why would you want to be there?

If you have nothing else in the works then by all means consider it. Otherwise be aware that the plan is to eliminate all expat pilots by summer 2010. That would give you less than 2 years of employment. Ofcourse a lot could change between now and then (extensions etc). The airlines here are bleeding (really) and are scaling back. Some may not survive.
Many of us are looking elsewhere so that we will have something else before the S*** hits the fan! There are close to 1,000 expat pilots here, and all will be displaced by 2010 if the rule goes into effect. If you get the ER145 job in the Middle-East or elsewhere go there instead.
