London’s only air show will be taking place at the London City Airport Fun Day on Saturday 5 July. This year the air show promises to be spectacular display including acrobatic aircraft never before seen at the airport’s air show plus the old favourites.

New additions to the stunning display include the Air Atlantique DC-6, Dukes of Cassutt – Cassutts Racers and Yak 3. This year also sees the return of the Pitts Special, Grace Spitfire, Cap 232, Swift glider display and Dennis Kenyon in a Schweizer 300c helicopter display.
The Pitts Special is a light weight aircraft which represents the latest design of this legendary family of aerobatic aircraft. The Pitts Special has won more aerobatic contests than any other aircraft type and the performance at the Fun Day will definitely be one to remember.
A regular at the Fun Day air show is the Grace Spitfire. The Grace Spitfire is just as impressive up close as it is flying high in the skies.
Good things come in small packages. The Cap 232 will amaze the crowds with its fast flips, twists and incrediblesummersaults.
The Swift Glider display is something truly amazing as the glider does not have an engine! The glider is towed into the air with a specialised tow plane and defies gravity usingskill and accuracy. The glider leaves behind it graceful patterns of colouredsmoke in its tracks.
A Schweizer 300c helicopter will be piloted by Dennis Kenyon for the ultimate jaw dropping display. Dennis will have everyone’s heart racing as he manoeuvres the helicopter in a sequence of astonishing stunts just meters from the ground.

Admission to the Fun Day including the air show is free for everyone. The doors open at 2.30pm and the air show begins at 3.15pm. Come along, join the fun and look up to the skies at the Fun Day for some jaw dropping entertainment.

Not so sure Denis Kenyon will be there as he recently pranged (and fortunately survived) in a Hughes 300? He stated that he was likely to now give up dispaly flying?
