Quick help please?? [Archive]

I got hit by badtrans virus...yup I know..cleaned it up etc but now when I veiw stuff on the Net None of my banners show up???! Nothing..is it a settings problem or what? please advise..maybe somthing totally unrelated to the virus, somthing like html or....

Something which has been observed with viruses such as BadTrans / Sircam etc, is that the utilities used to clean up the virus don't seem to work that well. BadTrans is one instance where you might be better off using another Anti-virus to check that it has in fact been removed. This one went after numerous anti-virus and security programs once it was unleashed. A good place to start would be to download the free edition of AVG from The AVG home-page (http://www.grisoft.com)and try that. This one found the virus on at least one Win 2000 PC that was supposedly clear.
