Looked like a Cessna 210 to me.

Mr. Damschroder was the owner of the airport, Freemont Ohio, as well as the local flying school. According to FAA records the family own 15 aircraft including two DC-3's N85SA and N137PA.

Could be a 210, 205,206,207. If he purchased it 40 years ago, it is not a 208. The only 1 series it could be is a 185, due to seating. The Trim Tab was full nose-up, doesn't necessarily mean anything.

A real workhorse. Powerful, seats six and lots Fuel, Fixed Gear, Wings have struts. With STOL and Big tyres, very popular in Alaska and the Bush. Outback, etc. Short Field up or down, very capable. Floats. My opinion its Cessna's best marque. This Pilot had many hours and I'm assuming very qualified in type. It is a forgiving A/C, accident statistics are excellent. Something odd here, it is so rare to see someone stuff one.
