Can anyone shed some light on Vietnam Airlines.
After reading their website it looks like you need a type rating on the 777, 330, 320/1.
Will they take guys not typed but with Boeing experience on other types?
The month on month off, is this offered to new recruits?
What money do they pay F.O's?
How long on average to Command?
In general what are they like to work for?
Any info welcome.
Cheers
TC:)

If you want to upgrade you have to pay for it. I believe I heard that it costs something like 24k to upgrade. If you are looking to upgrade there are much better deals out there. VA seems like a good place to go if you are already in the left seat...

I would like just to say that the company is not bad but they don't want to invest any money on pilots and the agency are pushing very hard for this.. If you go there with "Direct" be very careful.. a lot of people are not happy with them...

Goair1,

Can you qualify your statement claiming that a lot of people are not happy with "Direct"?

What are the issues that have arisen?

Counter, most pilots here would be glad to help you out with information, but I suggest you do a little more work yourself and not depend on this forum for all of it.

Most of your questions can be answered by one of the contract agencies that recruit for VNA, you can't work directly for the airline.

Rishworth Aviation, Parc Aviation, Direct Personnel

Good luck, D.L.:ok:
