Hi all,

I have a Verbatim USB key with this stupid U3 application on it.

Each time I plug the thing into either my home pc or work pc they both freeze up. However it works well enough on my laptop.

It is split into two drives, a small one with the U3 launch on it and a larger one for my data.

The data on the smaller drive is all write protected. Is there a way of deleting this data so that the U3 does not launch?

Thanks in advance

LP

PS Just been in through the command prompd and tried to erase... no luck as it says access is denied for each of the 3 files in there :o(

I have a SanDisk, but there is an option to disable U3 from starting automatically.

It was the easy option for me.....:)

Given that USB key storage devices are also known as Pen Drives in the UK (and possibly in the US also), I'm sure that there is some clever word play around "Le Pen Drive", but I will resist the temptation...
