PPL/CPL Books

Basically, I'm in need of the texts required for the PPL/CPL. After reading through some ancient threads, I have come to the conclusion that Bob Taits books are the way to go... but they are a lot dearer. At my local shop the ATC PPL/CPL kit is $220, whereas Bob Taits books come to a total of $372:eek:.

My question is - are they worth that much extra?
