Couple of days ago in KEF I found an add in one of the Islandic papers. Could not scan it so I'm typing the text:

Seasoned Pilots required

The project Lost Squadron Recovery is aimed at excavating the remaining five P38 Lightnings at a location approximately 80 nm west of BGKK. The international team is looking for pilots with experience in flying under arctic conditions. Further information on the project can be found on

www.lost-squadron.org

The task is to establish an airlink between BGKK and BIRK on one side and the campsite on the other. Some flights to/from BGSF are possible. The plane will be based at the campsite. Weather permitting, there will be a weekly flight schedule plus standby for medevac. The timeframe for the operation is from March to October 2009. The aircraft used will be (most certainly) a Viking Twin Otter 400.

We are looking for pilots with a high level of enthusiasm and dedication to the described task. Most of our staff are volunteers using their holidays and free time to contribute to the project.

If you are interested to participate in an exciting and demanding operation as a pilot for our transport aircraft please contact

Lost Squadron Recovery (LSR)
Attn. Mr. Tim Hasler

by email to pilots(at)lost-squadron.org.

Please state your flying experience (hours, no. of landings, aircraft types flown) and experience with operations in remote areas, especially operations on ski-gear. As stated above, all our participants are working on a voluntary basis and do not receive any payments. But please feel free to state any expectations regarding financial compensation for your contribution.

We are looking forward to hearing from you!<<<

Looks like there might be some interesting jobs coming up...
