Any comments on jumping ship from the Orient for a rosey slot on the big bird? DEC positions for those with heaps of Airbus time I'm told. C'est vrai?How are the Etihad salaries and COS holding up against those in EK?mmm!:hmm:

Dont bet on the 380 ever making it to EY!
It looks like EK will be your only option :}

Jock...

He isn't that far off, FM for the Airbus has already stated that they will have to hire DEC for 380 at some point as not enough current people flying Airbus at EK.

Others dreams may become another part of our reality, would anyone be truly surprised....not likely.

Seems to be a bit of a buzz around the South China area with talk of short contract based DEC....tailored for post 55year old Captains.The 65 thing isn't happening yet with a big carrier there yet. Might see some movement soon eh?!!

Yip and hopefully an opportunity for those of us wanting to go the "Big Airline" in the South China Sea area with basings as DEC,s. Especially those of us with heaps of time on the required types. I guess the pendulum swings both ways ! As long as both are rightfully prepared to put up with disgruntled F/O,s / Its called Osmosis.

Fourgolds.
Yep, it is actually happening. Oasis plummet released a load more Commanders into the square, good guys too and it seems that they have been offered slots, LHS on local terms etc, with their new mentors. F/o's will walk a little: other carriers will benefit:older skippers will fly for fun and the world will become a slightly different place. Career and airline are no longer synonymous!:(
