INFLATION
I noted last week that the Nurses in my home country had just turned down a 35% pay increase over three years. It was noted that since 1991 their pay has gone up over 200%. A nurse will now make close to 100,000 US annually.
Quite startling when you consider that our pay has gone backwards over the same period....with no end in sight.
I suggest that fighting over age 65 and bypass pay is diversionary...we need a contract tied to inflation. Or soon a 747/777/Airbus Captain will be paid less than a nurse!
