It's a mates 50th Birthday shortly and a bunch of us are looking for ideas for a birthday present for him. He already has everything he really needs so we're looking for an idea for a totally useless 'useful' gadget. And, to our shame, can't come up with much by way of ideas (the best I've managed so far is an electric nose-hair trimmer).

So what have you been bought either as a wind up or by someone with a misplaced sense of rightness that would fit the bill (and reasonable sort of dosh).

(Where is the Innovations catalogue when you really need it?).

Have a look either here (http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/gadgets-gizmos/index.html) or here (http://www.gadgetshop.com/gadgetshop/index.jsp) or even here (http://www.geniegadgets.com/home.php?xid=e1edd4d9585f9b30f4f9ea6f2f8049d1) - they're all pretty good sites and fit your requirements IMHO... :ok:
