Does anyone know what type of aircraft it was that crashed at Kinglake yesterday?

AN ultra-light plane has crashed at Kinglake killing a man in his 40s and critically injuring another person.
The plane was flying near Commbs Road Kinglake (http://www.whereis.com/index.htm#session=NTc=) West north-east of Melbourne when it crashed into the top of a tree just after 4pm.
Police said the man died on impact and another person, sex unknown, was being airlifted to the Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.
Rescue workers are currently at the scene.

That is asking too much of the news service. If it's a single or light twin it's always a Cessna, if it's a business class machine it's always a Learjet, so I suppose everything smaller than the above is an ultralight.

Sadly one of our guys attended the accident site in the Med chopper. As we know one survived one didn't.
It was a powered hanglider thingy, damn, why would ya?:bored:
Speedy recovery to the 'lucky' one & RIP to the deceased.(which was one of Brian Naylors ex ML Ch 9 news readers son)

well it's good to see that they tell the readers they don't know the gender of the other person on the flight, couldn't they just say "another person is being airlifted to hospital"?

Ultralight or not, what a bloody shame. It re-inforces the importance of not flying over tiger country whenever possible as King-Lake is far from open space.
