May not have been any Wokka's but last week a fast jet(Rafale or Mirage) was VERY low over the trees north of St Lo, so low and fast only saw it for a second from the rear:eek:

... bit of a low cloud base today.
Better they stay tucked up all snuggly in bed at Boscombe Down.
VFR for local farmers pigeons though !! :ok:

Very good piece on Sky News this am re the Mk3 fiasco, have caught it twice now, so I imagine that it will be running on a loop all day.

Very detailed and difficult conversation with my French neighbour on "Wokkas"
Explained the noise the blades made and virtues of the mighty Chinook.
After a pause he said "Oh the same noise the Hueys made in Apocalypse Now"

Wokka - Today over central London about 12:50ish...followed not long after by a lovely old DC3.
What a top week so far....my own 'private' air show! :D
