Does anyone know if there are plans to allow flight training/ hour building/ aircraft hire in Oman?

Fujairah in the UAE seems to be the nearest to Muscat, requirement is to sit a UAE air law exam to convert my CAA PPL, applied to join Fujairah already but was wondering if there were any plans to open a flying school around Muscat?

Thanks.

Oman Air was to partner with the military of defense and Eurocopter in order to operate a flying school around Muscat by the end of this year.
This talk was in February.
Nothing heard then.

It will be an ab-intio training programme for airline cadets and not self-improvers.
