Hello everyone. I am considering applying to Cabair, OAA, FTE for their integrated courses. I know there are some big topics in aviation currently that you should be aware of for interview/assessments.

The main ones I can think of are BA777, T5 fiasco, toxic fumes, open skies, CRM, delay to A380 orders and oil prices.

Have I missed anything I should really be aware of?

Any help is very much appreciated.:)

I assume you mean for the interview stages of selection?

Look at which airlines have alliances with said organisations and look for any news relating to those in particular. But other than that keep your eyes in the news and Im sure you'll be on the pulse.

It never came up with Cabair, and I have no experience with OAA or FTE, but CTC absolutly grilled me on their partner airlines, which aircraft they operated and how many, bases/hubs etc. Unfortunatly in this respect, I was completly unprepared and I think it was the main reason I didnt proceed to the next stage of selection :{

Nevermind, you learn from your mistakes. Hopefully you can learn from mine airbuslit.

Good luck, PM me if you want any info on the Cabair selection process

Hi there,

It would be wise to think very carefully at which path you want to go down either integrated or modular:confused:. I personally went the modular route (no interview, just sign up and learn!), and found it more cost effective and I could study at my own pace instead of somebody else's.

Of course you will still spend the money but not as much, also you can choose where you do the various parts of the flight training although I would highly recommend you doing the IR in the UK.

If you have not been in the learning environment for sometime, you will find the volume of subjects quite daunting:\.......well I did, as I left school at 17 and didn't study again until I was 33 :ugh:

This is not another modular / integrated argument it is just MY opinion and the route I took.
