"A GLIDING club with an age restriction of 90-plus has been formed by residents of an old people's home.
Irene Hale, 91, Brenig Owen, 93, and Peggy Barrett, 96, of Guild House care home, Gloucester, formed the Gliding Nonagenarians to satisfy their curiosity about gliding. They plan to fly with the Cotswold Gliding Club on July 10.
The women have already bent their age rule to allow Nell Skinner, 84, to join. Irene Hale said: "I am not apprehensive. At 91 you don't mind what happens."
