Note that Boeing 787 has not flown, although it was "rolled out" before Superjet.

How long before Superjet is in service? Is March 2009 a realistic flight test goal? (Superjet is applying for FAA and JAA certifications, but neither of them is needed for EIS because the launch customer is Aeroflot who can fly the plane under Russian certification before the others are issued.)

Do you think this is getting to be a heavily overdeveloped sector of the market? Embraer seem to have a headstart on everybody else with a well developed and successful product, the EMB170/190 range. Wasn't Bombadier talking about it as well? And Fairchild? But I think that one failed. Then I read that Mitsubishi are developing one that looks identical to the EMB190 range, and now the Chinese want to develop one as well. Whilst the Superjet looks terrific, will the market be big enough for all? Can the EMB range be caught up?
