Launching website onto additional domain name

To broaden market I am wanting to re-launch my website onto a new domain name without having to return to the designers who are asking for essentially the same fee again.

I wanted to make some small changes then put it up - the site operates on a CMS and I have a graphics guy who does all of that stuff - can anyone offer some advice here?

Who hosts your site currently?
What CMS are you using?

If the site is hosted by the designers and it is their CMS then it will be a totally different approach to changing this than if its done elsewhere (and the hosting billed directly to you.).
