Air New Zealand was voted the Best Airline in the World, toppling Singapore Airlines, which held this spot for three consecutive years.

Are we really surpried? Maybe the budget was big enough this year to buy the usual awards - saving their pennies for the post SQ006 bottom line.

Think SQ will be back again next year. However, Emirates seemed to have gained much momentum in pursuit of such awards. CX is also moving well in that direction. Next year will be interesting.
