Hi can anyone please confirm that

1. all 320 and 321 aircrafts are using IAE V2500 A5 engines?!?!?!

and

2. all the 330s are using RR trents 772B?!?!?!

and

3. how many freighters are left now?

Thankyou in advance

best regards :ok:

1. Yes

2. Not necessarily - a few of the earlier 342 a/c do have the non-'B' engine installed, but KA would normally be totally 772B if eng change logistics permitted, but occasionally an eng has to come off and only a 772 spare is available to go on.

3. 8 freighters

Believe the 772B engines have a higher thrust setting.Believe only B-HWH has the intermix one 772 and one 772B fitted.

B = Boosted

The Trent 772B-60 has the same ratings as the 772-60 except between 2000 ft and 8000 ft altitude, or when the ambient pressure is greater than ISA+15degC, where the 772B-60 produces increased thrust at take-off rating. The magnitude of this increase varies with altitude and ambient temperature and is limited to a maximum of 5.4%.

correct - RR also now provide a "C" for the china market. again something to do with climb performance/thrust settings. actually it's "B" engine hardware, with amended lives on the group A rotating components.

to be more sepcific on B-HWH, it has 1ea "B" and 1ea "non-B". therefore the a/c has been downgraded to 772 performance, until a 2nd "B" engine is fitted.

there are other a/c in the KA fleet with "B" and "non-B" engines fitted. but these are 342 a/c that only need a maximum 772 engine rating, the B rated engine is downgraded to 772 thrust via the EEC data entry plug.
