Final Interview Question

Can any one confirm, does Cathay perform a cholesterol screen during the interview process? I’ve heard yes, less than 200, but the Medical in Confidence form doesn’t have a box for cholesterol in the blood analysis section. Too late now if it’s true. It would put me at ease if it were false.

Actually, we were just talking about that on a flight last month. They do draw blood to do and HIV test. In Hong Kong, Cathay cannot offer you employment if your HIV positive. The cholesterol test came up as mine was recently tested higher than I would like. The other pilot told me that CX does NOT test your blood for any other elements. If you have another concern medically, they may have you go back to your home physician to do a full blood work.

Bottom Line.....don't worry...it will just make your blood pressure higher.
