Anyone know whats to become of Kai Tak airport? Will it be torn down and built over!
In my opinion the should turn it into some kind of air museum, its a part of aviation history, one that will be greatly missed.

I think this should be on the Fragrant Harbour forum rather than here.
Anyway there have been a number of ideas but at the moment they are detoxifying the site and then it will (as I understand) have a housing development built on it. At the moment, amoung other things, it is a car sales room.
As for your idea of it being turned into an air museum, the land is worth a ton of cash so even in these times of depression in Asia the thought of turning it into a museum for a couple of anoraks (like 108.9 and ils07r) to visit just aint practical!
