Any one flying with Cathay's cargo div.?
Is this a good gig? Pay? time off? Aircraft Type? Bases? Etc. Any info. would be great thanks.

Coyote, sorry only just seen this one. I personally think the Cx cargo option is a good one. I failed at the second hurdle in HK and was much PO'd.

The deal is cargo 747 200 or 400 for 3 years, and then the chance to go out to HK into the pax fleet, probably on the 330. With that on your ticket, it sounds like a good deal. Pay in Europe is approx 38000 GBP equivalent, and then you go out to HK with your 3 years seniority, straight into the FO seniority list. About 7 years to command, probably on the 777. All the usual leave, 13th month salary, retirement fund etc. My personal view is that it is only worth it if you are planning to go and live in HK.
