Headache setting in!! Tried and tried to get through to people - read dozens of web sites - can't get there.

Anybody familiar with shopping cart modules in Mambo or Joomla?

VirtueMart is already installed - but not doing what I need.

(Crosses fingers tight, scrunches eyes, mutters "Please, please").

I have noticed a few over the years...

You can get OSCommerce modules for both...

What you looking for from a shopping cart?

I want Joe Public to be able to turn up at a public (or flight school accessible) computer terminal, tap in a credit card number for a flight test from my shopping cart, and walk away knowing that they paid.

Straight forward, simple, click click, tap, tap - "enter", done.

The system I have just now (VirtueMart) seems to require that the 'customer' become a registered member of the site (as you and I are with PPRuNe) before they can pay.

Eyes filling with tears now.....and I've got a flat bit on me 'ead. (Wall still OK though).

If you only have a handful of product or services to sell I would suggest bypassing the shopping card idea altogether + using Paypal pay now buttons - as demonstrated here (http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/xcl/rec/singleitem-intro-outside) - - click on "see demo"

Clients do not need to register with Paypal to pay - a credit card and an address are sufficient.
