Your thoughts and opinions on the CASA FSA Magazine. Good read? Detailed? In depth?

Also... when can one usually expect the next issue in the mail?

This is a very necessary publication, but unfortunately like too many things in our aviation it appears to be misused to manipulate the industry for reasons other than safety.
I consider one article was absolutely disgraceful.
ATSB reports do not always support the articles.
Read it. It has some good information. But always ask yourself "why did they print that?"

We are talking about a Govt department publication here, that pretty much sums it up!:bored: To me it's just a publication full of adds with a few fairly boring stories that we see almost daily in the real world.

Yes Dr:8 I agree bring back the Digest.

The NZ CAA magazine, Vector, is better. Go to:

The Digest? FTDK :=

The Aviation Safety Digest = best read going!

Written by people who knew what they were talking about.

Not just a pile of crap made up to illustrate some irrelevant point = FSA!

U a young fella, huh Lucky 6?

.....and you are not familiar with the Digest?

They should reprint the Digest into a book and make it mandatory reading, cover to cover, for all new pilots.

Signed off as read before they issue your licence!

Like so much of the media today, it does rather seem to be pitched at the lowest common denominator - and clearly the advertsing revenue is its key indicator of performance.

Mate i'm not often seen shouting the governments or CASA's praise in public places but i have to say that i reckon its pretty good.

I don't mind having a read of it. Reminds me of some of my own experiences ect and makes you think about what could happen ect. I read it and then have a it of a look around next time i'm in the cruise and think "what if"...

thats my bit
