Emailing an application

Hello,

I'm just about to email a CV and covering letter, and was wondering if I should send the covering letter as an attachment, or put the text from it, into the email itself.

I attach the CV (in MS Word format) to the email and write the covering letter on the email itself. :ooh:

Would also be interested to find out what other people do.

I personally attach it along with the CV but I really don't think it matters too much. I simply think its easier for the employer to download both instead of having to refer to the email for the covering letter. Each to their own I guess!
