Hello, all. I've been lurking and reading for a while now, and figured it was time I jumped in.

I began blogging at the beginning of this year, and I'm doing a series I call "Weekend Wings". It deals with aviation in general, but concentrates on history, specific aircraft (e.g. the line of descent between the Sopwith Pup and the F-35 Lightning II) or events (e.g. an aviation milestone) or operations (e.g. flying the Hump).

As an example, I'm currently doing a three-part series on the first flights across the Atlantic. The first was on the US Navy's attempt with three flying-boats (http://tinyurl.com/4lbgfd), and the second on Alcock and Brown (http://tinyurl.com/6bed4x). To see all of the series, click on the "Weekend Wings" tag at the end of one of those articles. It'll bring up a page containing every article having that tag.

I'd like to know whether there's interest in me posting these articles here on PPrune as well. If so:

1. How should this be done? I post lots of pictures, and video clips when available, so it would be a nightmare to put them all on PPrune's server. I could always post text only, and link to my blog for the pictures, but that might not be very satisfactory.

2. Is it OK to simply link to my blog posts, as I've done above? I don't want to give the impression of "spamming" the board - that's why I haven't listed all of them. Could a moderator or administrator please advise?

Any suggestions on how to proceed? Also, I'd welcome any and all comments about already-published stuff. Feedback can only help me improve future articles in the series.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but we don't allow blogs.

However, you are welcome to enjoy PPRuNe the way most people do.
