Hello everyone,
I have decided I want to get my first headset (for aeroplane), but I only want to pay a maximum of $300. Can anyone recommend a headset at or under that price? The main things it has to have is good sound and microphone quality and it needs to be comfortable (including desent outside noise reduction). Possibly some form of warranty.

Thanks fellas and ladies,

You will be hard pressed to find them for under $300 but will pick them up on Ebay for about that second hand.

Don't compromise will last you forever!

honestly if you set for a maximum of $300, the headset will be either uncomfortable, the mic will be shocking, wont seal around your ears properly, the noise reduction will be poor, probably mono and overal you'll end up replacing it in 6 months. I say spend at least $400 min and get a headset that'll last you for years

It's a great headset, had mine for 8 years. Retails for about $330, I saw them on special for $280 last month. It even has a push to talk button on the headset, great for instructing.

AC-900 features: a full flex boom mic and stereo/mono switch on the lead; It too comes with a Deluxe Comfort Package; and also Gel ear seals.
