Wednesday November 6th 1968 was the last day British Eagle operated. Does anyone have any information as to whether this event will be recognised or if anybody still arranges reunions? Graham Palmer 1966-67 Conduit Street and Newquay

You may have checked so this could be of limited help, but it looks like the last one was held the other week.

Contact the pub - they should know or at least be able to point you in the right direction.

Thanks A IR,
It's a long way to go for a pint and it looks like the numbers are pretty thin on the ground now! Still it was a l_o_n_g time ago.
Pity that there is no link or e-mail address to contact the survivors.
I'll keep a look out for any announcement.

The annual reunion has in recent years been held in early October at the former Holiday Inn at Caversham near Reading. I've never managed to make one yet, but I'm led to believe they're reasonably well attended, and of course accommodation is available.

Stand by, I'll contact someone who knows someone who I think is one of the organisers!

You'll see a lot of info there!

Yes, as stated on the above website and confirmed by my ex-British Eagle (and Monarch) stewardess friend.

3rd October 2008, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Caversham, Reading. Details still being finalised with the hotel.

Good website - some comments from a few people I remember there!

Yes I can confirm that there is to be a British Eagle reunion on the 3rd Oct 2008 at the Crown Plaza Reading. Details will appear on the offical Eagle website Home of Eagle www.britisheagle.net (http://www.britisheagle.net) keep a watch on this site for details and application form.

Also there are pictures of the Ex Eagle DC 6 G-APSA in full British Eagle colours. This aircraft belongs to Air Atlantique. We are grateful for their willingness to repaint it back into Eagle colours during this 40th year since the company ceased operation. It is also the 50th year of its operational life.

G-ANCF the Bristol Britannia which is also 50 this year is being restore to exibition condition at the old Speke terminal Liverpool. This can also be seen of the website
