Hi,

I have an interview coming up with BACF. I wonder if anyone can enlighten me on the following:

- Do BACF ask you to pay for a type rating on the RJs/146s or do they have some sort of bonding in place?

- if you do pay for, or join already holding, a type rating, what is the starting salary? (i.e. is it the FO scale or SO scale on ppjn?)

- any ideas on what the interview is like? Sim ride/psychobabble/aptitude tests/HR?

- I did attend an FTE/BA Citiexpress interview three years ago before getting my fATPL since (and did quite well on the HR side, less well on the numeracy tests as my maths was a little rusty). Is the format similar?

- any idea how many routes they plan this year and therefore perhaps how many pilots they need?

- integrated or modular candidates...who would you bet on?

Thanks

Lissy

Goodluck with your interview to start with. There's quite some info to be found on a.net and pprune forums regarding the expansion and general operation as i't is today. I did the 'old school' selection and thus are on the old contract. Training is different now but I still think you are bonded for 2 years after completing your FLC (final line check) and thus on a reduced salary. There are still one or two candidates in the hold pool at this moment.

Ppjn is correct on the salary. Hopefully (yeah right... :() things will improve soon with BALPA chasing after it. Last I heard they were looking for 8 f/o's and 8 cpt's before years end in line with the expansion. But that's just hear say internally.

Integrated or modular candidates? I would guess integrated but we do have modular candidates as well. They do have a deal with Jerez as well. But they are still advertising in FI so you'll have an equal chance.

Good luck! :ok:
