Morning all,

Not sure how these are going to be received, but my military stuff has always gone down fairly well in that section of the board.

Returned last Saturday from a couple of weeks in Alaska, covering Red Flag Alaska 08-2 and making the most of the fantastic photo opportunities the place has to offer.

Here's a very small sample of what I caught:

Plenty more available if they're of interest, and happy to do special requests for just about all of the ANC users. :ok:

Thanks very much for the replies and PM.

GlueBall - I already have more than 1000 shots on a.net, I just figured this may be a good way of getting my stuff to a more specifically relevant audience. ;)

Cheers,
Karl

There's still a 133 up there? There were two up there 8 years age. In the two years I was there, only saw one fly one time.

MI - Yes, there's still a 133 up there. I don't believe she's flown for a couple of years, but is maintained in airworthy condition. She certainly taxied in 2007. She needs to be operated under a government contract in order to be allowed to take to the skies again. What I'd give to photograph her getting airborne....!

I believe the second example was scrapped in/around 2000.

The Wiki post could do with an update (like your great photo):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C-133_Cargomaster

retired in 1971 it says... then lived in Mojave then moved to Alaska.

Karl

Isn't the final photo a C133?

I'm sure that these photos would be appreciated on the 'Aviation History and Nostalgia' forum on PPRuNe

Apologies for the delayed response, all. Only just noticed the thread's come to life. ;)

jumpseat - now you tell me! :{ Where would we have found you? We had visits to Everts and NAC at both Fairbanks and Anchorage.

fourgolds - thank you! :ok:

ix_touring - indeed it does. Not sure I'm quite qualified enough to be the one to do it though.

Captain Airclues - I'll do that if you think they'd be of interest.

biggls - are you suggesting I know you?

Anyway, a few more:
