rod,
theres a forum section on pprune just for that part of the world. Far as I know, unless you are a national, your chances of operating there a pretty slim.

Rodmiller.

Just to give you an idea............

Brazilian pilots are flooding the world market and all are happy to work for less pay.

So I suggest you look to other continents.

Good luck

I know someone who has spent some time recently flying in Brazil and it aint all that flash

You need to read, write and speak Portugese in order to operate there and you wont get a licence unless you are Brazilian - they wont, or didnt as far as my mate can tell, give you recognition of foreign qualifications.

They may well give recognition, but it would be written in Portugese!

Varig has fallen over in the not too distant past leaving a lot of pilots on the market.

My advice is to look elsewhere

Yeah!!
I do have wet dreams about too it sometimes.
Flying a Brasilia in Brasil waiting for one of the props coming off, crashing into the Amazon rescued by Amazon Women..... or landing on a coco farm waiting for the Cartel... Hey, you probably make more money than a local pilot since "gringos" fly better.:E

Buenos Dias Senor!

Sorry about my spanish accent, i am used to flying in Columbia.
