Hey all,

I'm flying for an airline, but unfortunately we don't have any ID contracts with other airlines. Part of being a pilot is the nice perks of travel, but with my company spouses can't even travel on our own aircraft. Yes, it is strange, I know, but that is how it is.

My question is: Do you know of any place where I can buy cheaper airfares and travel related stuff (hotel etc.)? I've been browsing touchdown.co.uk, but I can't use airfares on that site as it requires that all travels originate in UK...

Any tips and advice would be appreciated! Thank you!

hehe... thank you, but as I said in my post I've already tried them. The problem with them is that all flights they sell have to originate in the UK, but I'm only there only so often... I need to be able to buy tickets originating wherever.... and of course... being a pilot I really don't want to pay too much for them :O

You must be working for charter outfit in UK, that is a major problem. There is no other way except trying low cost airlines, some of the id 90 tickets costs more than low cost tkt.

By the way you must be either from Denmark or Holland.:ok:

Experience show that ID tickets are of small value if all flights are full. Long haul flights stand-by and with familiy, friends and/or children are a nightmare.

Try ticket discounter like expedia.co.uk/com/de, opodo, loneyplanet and the like. Expedia has imho the biggest choice and they combine different airlines for the same trip, you get really all kind of city pairs.

Good hunting!

The problem with travelits.co.uk is the same as with touchdown.co.uk - all flights have to originate in UK... so when I have bought my ticket over to UK - the price will be higher than if I would travel on a regular ticket from where ever I am...
