Incheon Tiger Airways recognises CASA license?

I just noticed on the Tiger Airways website that the Korean incarnation of Tiger Airways recognizes the CASA license. And also on the Korean Air thread in the South East Asia forum, there's some guy talking about failing a checkride from a CASA testing officer. So I'm wondering what's the connection between Korean and the Australian aviation authorities (if any).

CASA is the name of one of the Korean Authorities as well, the other one is KMOT. Just like there have been many CAA's DOA's etc. scattered at various points of the compass.
