Hi Folks,
Does anyone know if such a website exists that lists aircraft types and their dimensions and also the aircraft category? The only information I have at the moment are Jane's Avaition books. I have been tasked to find out the dimensions of the most common types of aircraft that use British airports and their particular aircraft category. :confused:

Try this website, it has the stats for almost every aircraft that exists. But it won't tell you which airlines fly them or where they fly etc...

http://www.airliners.net/aircraft-data/

Then maybe go to each UK airlines website and look what kind of a/c they use as well as their route map.

Thanks for the info 'I just want to fly'.

I've got a slight problem now. Most web sites and aircraft books only give lengths and wing spans etc. I'm trying to find the fuselage width of an ATR 72. I can't seem to find it anywhere. According to its length and wingspan its a Cat 5 aircraft. I heard a pilot say the other day it's width was 4.1 mtrs. This would make it Cat 6 aircraft. (Up to 4 mtrs is a Cat 5 aircraft and 5 mtrs it's Cat 6 etc):{

I've had to put together a similar list of info in the past, I've found that the manufacturers own sites were mostly helpful, but it took a while and a fair bit of 'googling' so good luck.

for information on the 72 .......

........And see CAP168 chapter 8 Page 2 Table 8.1 for Categories for rescue and fire fighting.

Hope this is of help.
