This is my first post so I hope I have the right section.

I am attending OASC for my medical and fitness testing for aircrew (pilot).
My problem is that I am taking part in the Nijmegen Marches '08 and there is an RAF qualifying event in a couple of weeks which lasts two days and involves 50 miles of walking with a considerable amount of weight. Obviously this is going to be demanding on my body and the same day I finish walking is the same day I am heading up to OASC Cranwell to begin the medical tests the following day. I am concerned this physical exertion will produce abnormal results in my medical, and the lack of proper rest mentally and visually may affect my eyesight tests.

Am I being too worried or are these genuine concerns I should have?
If so I need to consider whether I should go to this qualifier.

Thanks for the help.

A good friend of mine is an optician. When I posed this question, the reply was no physical exertion should really affect eye sight results.

So I think you should have nothing to worry about..Just get a good night sleep..

Good luck:ok::ok:

For accuracy,

its 9.10 on the bleep test, 35 situps and 20 pressups.

Still no problem though!
I did Nijmegen last year, AWESOME event!! Hope the weather is as good for you as it was for us! Apart from the thunderstorm on the last leg of the last day, caught without any waterproofs! eeeeekkk!!

Good luck buddy! :ok:

9.10 is not exactly difficult on a bleep test... hardly a fast jog... if you are fit enough to do the march, then you will have no probs with the tests - good luck on both :ok:
