USA trip...WA, Seattle, OR, VT and Boston

Hello all....time for my annual request for recommendations! :ok:

This summer I'm off to the USA for a month. I'll be staying in and around Seattle, Washington state (Lake Chelan), Portland, Oregon, Boston and central Vermont.

I've sorted my Boeing tour, and I'll be popping into the Museum of Flight, and also the Evergreen museum and Tillamook Air museum (will make sure to contribute to the museum photo thread again).

Is there anything else of note in aviation (or military, or anything else?) that's worth my while in these areas?

Make time for the Olympic Flight Museum.I visited a few years ago and although only small has some really nice airworthy stuff there, and some interesting non flyers.Very friendly and helpful.

How about asking the Pembertons if you can take a peek at this ... I believe they are bringing it to AV this year :)

If you can, take a float plane tour of the area. Nothing like seeing the beauty of the landscape from the air. (flights out of Lake Union in Seattle.)

Not necessarily aviation, but Crater Lake, Oregon is stunning and the Oregon coast is beautiful.

Mount St Helens is worth the trip - the thousands of flattened trees all pointing at the mountain give one pause for thought. Very impressive.

The museum at Langley, British Columbia, has a nice little collection, including a Hampden. :)
Pearson Field, Vancouver, Washington. Has a great museum and restoration center open daily. :)
Vans aircraft are in Aurora, Oregon, if you have an FAA pilot certificate they will give a short 15-20min test flight to prospective kit buyers.

Two not to miss are Old Rhinebeck,NY try and catch a display day and the Glenn H Curtis museum in Hammondsport, NY.

Rhinebeck is good - most Summer Sundays there is a short show, and you can take a flight in a New Standard biplane.

In that general sort of area there is a good air museum at Bradley field, north of Hartford, CT. One of the best in the northeastern US.

If you're near Eugene in Oregon there is a nice little museum near the airport. It's only two smallish hangars, but they have a few unusual exhibits and the staff/volunteers are very frienly and helpful, well worth an afternoon.

Strongly suggest you take alook at Paul Allen's Flying Heritage Museum located on Paine Field. He is in the process of relocation it to a new facility and says it will reopen to the public in the summer of 2008. Absolutely one of the finest collections in the world, private or institutional. Google it for further information.
