Special Limitation

In an attempt to emulate Sky+ and dump the venerable video recorder of the tape variety I am now in possession of a shiny new Sony HXD 870 DVD-HD recorder. I am very pleased and would recommend to anyone except only some of the DVD's it makes can be read by my computer DVD reader, a Samsung SH203B. The Sony burned discs work perfectly on any other DVD player I have tried, likewise the computer DVD writer appears to work perfectly, it is only the combination of Sony burn/Samsung read combination and then only about 50% of the time. Some dics work OK. I am using Samsung branded media and all drivers/ firmware are up to date. Trawling the net has produced nothing so any suggestions anyone?
