Could anyone point me in the right direction to find out more about Railway Air
Services and the start of other UK Airlines in the 1930s? I have the book 'Sword in the Sky' which gives an excellent account of Midland and Scottish Air Ferries. There does not seem to be much on the internet.
Many Thanks
Keith

A good start is the 2005 book "British Airways An Airline and its Aircraft Volume 1: 1919-1939 The Imperial Years" by R.E.G. Davies, publisher Paladwr Press (Ron Davies' own imprint). A lot of it is taken up with details of the various independents which eventually got rolled up into BA's various predecessors. There are full chapters, fleetlists and routemaps of Hillman (page 56) and Railway (page 76), as well as all others.
